He isn't really my cup of tea to be honest but I hope his new album does well for him. |

Well its been 15 years coming so lets hope so!
It is actually out in Denmark tomorrow (29th!) and shortly afterwards in the UK. Would be nice if it could beat the no 4 peak of the Collection in April 2005! |

Just out of curiosity, why has it been released in Denmark before his native UK? _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

He still seems to have a large audience in Denmark and plays there quite often! The Collection was actually released there as "Collectable" about 7 months ahead of the UK release (Aug 04 there, Apr 05 here) and it reached no 1 in the Danish album charts. The UK release tied in with his appearance on Hit Me Baby (the reality show) and consequently went Top 5. |

If Shaky's album was put in front of the playlisters, they would look at the name and dismiss it out of hand.
To me that is such a great shame but thats the way things are at the once great ADULT station Radio 2. |

Conratulations to the Shakester.
Maybe you're not considered uncool in Denmark if you're over 30 |

Sounds pleasant enough, and I'm sure the single will make the R2 playlist (he is still on major label Sony BMG after all) but I doubt it will make much impression on the chart.
The website's short on detail - is the single, and the other "unfamiliar" material on the album, original/Shaky compositions?
The covers sound routine - Got My Mind... Baby It's You and It's A Shame are very Beatlish. On Pump It Up he's trying too hard to outdo Costello. _________________ Ron |

I'll bet you Rockit, that theres no chance that shaky would even get near the playlist.
A shame but true
I can't actually listen to it myself as I browse using my Nintendo Wii and it won't let you listen. |
