Pregnant women and those trying for a baby should avoid alcohol completely, according to new government advice.

This has been common for years. Nothing new. |

We need a governmnet to tell us this? Thought this would have been common sense along the lines of don't smoke when pregnant too. _________________ Some say he once threw a microwave oven at a tramp and that all his potted plants are called 'Steve'.....all we know is, he's called 'The Stig!'. |

What has been common for years, Mark? Drinking whilst pregnant? Advising women not to drink whilst pregnant? Advising women to drink in moderation wheilst pregnant?
I am amazed that the media picks up on this rubbish. Is it not down to common sense or is it assumed that women do not have any common sense? In fact are we allowed to use the word Common in this way these days? |

At the risk of being yelled at by our lady members, how many women have ahd a drink prior to the act of getting pregnant. (hides and makes himself ever so small). _________________ Geddon

Methinks "members" wasn't the most appropriate word to be used in that retort - or maybe it was! _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

I take it that the "drink stout when you're pregnant for the iron" campaign is now obselete
If you listened to these self righteous, self appointed idiots you wouldn't eat or drink anything ever.
Even too much water can be fatal.
MODERATION is the answer.
