I wonder if it's getting a little over the top now with the main presenters taking extra days off and more holidays?

I mean Steve is back after a long weekend, normally that would be Tuesday after the bank holiday. Did Steve need to use up all his holiday left having an extra day off or was it a lieu day? Laughing

Wogan has more holidays than the rest, but seems Ken Bruce is taking more holidays now, but he does work over the festive period.

They have the holidays they are entitled to so why not take them?

Does Terry really have more holidays than 'the rest' I'm not sure he does. Look at the amount Ken Bruce and Chris Evans have had this year. Not that I begrudge them, if that's what they negotiated then fair enough.

I think Ken got additional holidays to compensate for his low pay of only £150k per annum. Laughing

They should get some Eastern Europeans in to work for £5 an hour to cover for them.

Oi Wogan, there are plenty of redundant ex-Eurovision hosts that could do your show! Laughing Even Dr death and the Tooth Fairy from Denmark could have a go. Shocked

Just because Wogan is away from his breakfast microphone does not mean that he is off on holiday. He has other broadcasting commitments with the BBC as well. When my wife met him last year she made this joke, and his reply was that he had recently had to do a load of voice-overs and presentation links for other BBC TV series.

All is not what it seems.

Terry finished his breakfast show on Tuesday, then went to do a book signing in Leeds (which would almost certainly have lasted longer than intended) After that he flew back to London for an awards ceremony where he presented a lifetime acheivement to Peter Alliss.
As this ceremony finished late he decided to stay in London, yes at a top hotel. I bet you would moan if you stayed somehwere and didn't get what you paid for.

Wogan lives a rock & roll lifestyle. Not bad for a man approaching 70. Laughing

That's very fair, but I assume he's actually been on holiday these past weeks because he needed cover for Points of View.

Does that mean he lives in a 150k house? Laughing

Don't forget Wogan does do Tesco voice overs etc. I suppose he dosn't just go home and put his feet up. This is how some of the ex radio 1 dj's used to get paid and now millionaires.

Someone wrote to We Love Telly (Mirror TV section) about watching Eurovision, and their young son said he recognised Wogan's voice from Higglytown Heroes.

I know he narrated Stoppit & Tidyup, but did he do the above as well?
