Beleive me a lot of people are going to be turning away from the Labour government in the next general election. They are going to have one hell of a shock, the country is falling apart. I really feel sorry for those youngesters who are still at school and going to be growing up.

Labour may have been turning the country around, but people are still on low wages because you get some mug from another country coming to britian and work for peanuts, and some of the older workers dont respect each other no more and fighting against one another which isn't right if you may of been in the construction industry etc.. for years. Council tax is going up and no one is benefiting out of it except the local governments, and most of the time they are spending it on rubbish. Some pensioners' are just living on the bread line as most of their savings have been spent on keeping on a roof over their heads. Building more roads wont ease the congestion it make it 10 times worse. Travelling on the railways is getting worse as more people are using them and the operaters are just sitting back and making their share holders happier just packing the commuters in.

I think it's about time people wake up and start voting for someone else

Very well said Mark.
I couldnt have said it better myself.

IF people only knew half of what is going on.

Me thinks government knows alot more than what they are letting on.

I got info (via someone I trust) a few days back, stating that Kent police are stocking up on `body bags`

Now I know when government have spoken about bird flu (for eg) they have told us that mortuaries & councils would stock them in case of a pandemic. But the police ? Why the police ? We know damned well that if there was a pandemic they wouldnt risk the health of our police forces by asking them to remove infected bodies.

I wonder... WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON ?

Resources are running out....
Climatic changes threatens us all....
There will come to be severe shortages of food & water... and homelessness. London yesterday maybe just a preview.

Money that government should be spending on more sensible things is being squandered on wars - thats only leading the Muslim population to hate our government - and might not be long before we see trouble here in U.K. on our own streets. People only take so much before they explode.

Blair needs to go.
So does his puppet-master across the pond.

Peace would be achievable if we had caring leaders who considered what is best for everyone & not just for themselves & their greedy corporation buddies.

God help us all (thats all I can say)

except perhaps: be prepared.
Stock up on food, water & medical.
Plan an exit route.
Try plan a safe place to go.

Well there is talk today of a General Election as early as 2008.
But can you honestly see Cameron and Co running this Country.
Once Gordon Brown is in charge they will hold an election and get 5 more years.
Things will be no better but i suppose 5 more years of better the devil etc.

Unfortunately it appears that many of our elected spokepersons seem intent on feathering their own nests (whether it be via outside interests or advancement within the corridors of power) instead of directly serving the interests of their constituents - i.e. the people who put them where they are.

I'm not saying all MPs are self-seeking (I'm sure there are some really good ones) but I've never seen mine canvassing around here at Election time, nor are his surgeries advertised. Come to think of it, I can't remember the last time he was on TV or the radio, or mentioned in the newspapers. Contrast it with the member for north Northumberland, who, like or loathe him, at least gets noticed for what he does and says.

I've said this before - you could put a dog up for election in my constituency and if it was wearing a red rosette, it would win....

Small wonder some people I've heard recently are talking about supporting the more extreme elements - it would take a lot for me to support the likes of the BNP but I can't help agreeing with a few of the things they suggest in their manifesto (albeit with certain reservations as to their overall motives).

One of these days I'll wake up in the newest Third World country - Britain without the 'Great' at the start.

Mike,

God help us with Brown taking charge. I would go for John Reid, but this is my personal view! It will be a strange election as most are still undecided, and the tories havn't really come up with the goods yet.
