I said i would not put myself through this but i had not actually heard any of this.

Possibly the worst of the lot.
Dire does not come close.
I found it hard to understand the dialogue as people were speaking at the same time.

It followed no pattern or route just wandered from one unfunny bit to another.
I am now so depressed after listening again for 6 minutes i need counselling.

Please bring back the comedy that makes you actually laugh.

NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I quite like the sound design, but the whole thing is flawed from the start: the "hero" is a 30something geek living at home with his "crazy" mother - and that doesn't seem to be based on the majority of bloggers. It's a cliched caricature of a computer nerd, and misses the chance to really satirise the blogging world.

Ian...i will laugh at practically anything.
But this really was the worst.
I pity the poor people who send off for tickets to stand and listen to this.
It reminds me of school concerts where the class had to do a show for the whole school.
Somebody sings, someone tells a few jokes then 5 or 6 kids do a sketch which just isn't funny but you laugh because you know it is your classmates.

I really am shocked that all 3 so called comedy shows i have had the misfortune to fall upon have been so lacking in actual comedy.

Then of course this saturday Out To Lunch is back for 57 minutes.

I can feel a panic attack as i write this!!!

Well, I've never listened to it, but after reading the above I definitely want to steer clear of it. Thanks for the heads-up! Smile

Cherskiy.
Just have a listen on Listen Again which i did.
I lasted about 5-6 minutes on each before reaching for the pills.
You just hope it gets better but sadly it never did.

I'm obviously in a minority but I thought it was quite good ...
well, relatively speaking! Found myself giggling at the way he used Viewpoint for emails instead of Outlook, and bought books from Congo.com instead of Amazon... (how sad am I??!!)

I also think On the Blog is quite funny. As it is character based comedy it helps to listen to a few episodes, but it is generally well written and amusing. I don't think it is intending really to satirise and is more of a radio sit-com.

The dialogue is usually very clear - perhaps the first poster was listening to an argument segment. There is also usually a very clear plot narrative to each episode.

Haven't heard OUt to Lunch, but Miranda's Joke shop was truly dire.
