What an amazing exit for Katie from last night's show. Can't recall whether anyone else before has been offered the chance to go forward and turned it down.
But I don't wholly buy this. It's impossible to believe that such a high flyer wouldn't have covered every possible domestic eventuality beforehand. And how was she selected at all, when one of the assessors said that she hadn't a clue about the role she would have taken up if she'd become the Apprentice? It's hard to avoid coming to the conclusion that the whole thing was stage-managed for dramatic effect.
After the programme proper, we switched to Adrian Chiles' post mortem on BBC2, where Katie received a general mauling. Some Scots businesswoman, whose name I didn't catch, well outdid Katie herself for bitchiness.

I didn't buy it either Ian :- it was too staged. If katie was "ruthless" as she'd indicated from the start , she would have accepted a place in the final and if she'd gone on to win it , would then have told SAS to Foxtrot Oscar, assuming she didn't want the job. I think last night's show was a staged remake of that part of the show, where Katie had having accepted the place in the final against Christina, had subsequently changed her mind, so they had to go back to the point before Simon was fired and redo it. It was really poor.

It was so staged, me thinks she only wanted a media career. |

I dont know - would Sugar really stand for 'staging' on his show. He hasn't liked it in the past.
I caught the after show on BBC2 and I don't think she deserved that blonde woman's rantings.
Still I think the right two people are in the final so lets see what happens next week. _________________ Some say he once threw a microwave oven at a tramp and that all his potted plants are called 'Steve'.....all we know is, he's called 'The Stig!'. |
