Don't panic, Capt Mainwaring- I'm not going to war on our govt or pathetic, publicity-hungry celebs
I heard a snippet of a song, the chorus of which (and I assume the title, also) was "I Am The Warrior" sung by a healthily-lunged lady, that I didn't hear well enough to put a name to.
Does anyone know the song and artist in question?
Be grateful if you could help out, oh denizens of the deepest waters of R2OK, then hopefully I can add said tune to my collection.
Thanks in anticipation

I don't know it, but by Googling and reference to the Billboard Book of Top 40 US Hits I can tell you that it's called The Warrior, by Scandal featuring Patty Smyth (not to be confused with Patti Smith) and was a Top Ten hit over there in July 1984. It was written by Nick (Hot Child In The City) Gilder and Holly (Love Is A Battlefield) Knight.
Eight years later Smyth teamed up with Don Henley for an even bigger hit, Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough, which managed to make No 22 here in the UK. _________________ Ron |

Wow, much thanks for the research, Ron- great stuff!
I've just Wiki-ed Scandal & Patty Smyth and it turns out she is now married to John MacEnroe (yeah, that one!) and the bands guitarist, briefly, in 1981 was Jon Bon Jovi
Cheers for that _________________ He's not the Messiah- he's a very naughty boy! |
