Well...i have just been using the Listen Again facility and managed 7 minutes.

A sketch of improvisation featuring a bloke who has a wife with a terminal disease.

I really do not understand what the audience find funny.
The line was not witty, the reply was certainly not witty and this went on for 5 minutes.
Previous to that 2 comments about Collen McCloughlin having a birthday and William and Katie splitting up.

I must stop listening to this.
It really is not good for my health.
I am beginning to wonder what real comedy used to sound like.
Please say i am not the only one.

I am sorry but i could not sit through 53 more minutes of this masqueading as comedy Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

I admire your stamina - I only managed to get as far as the end of the introduction to the show. Nothing I heard there made me even remotely interested in listening to what remained of the hour.

The so-called "Comedy Hour" - we should sic the Advertising Standards Authority on them! Laughing

I listened to the last hour or so of Rick's Place on Planet Rock instead.

Just tried Sat 9th June edition.
The first 5 minutes was poor with some comedian doing Snoop Dogg in a high pitched Lancashire accent.
Kept waiting for it to become funny...then he finished.
Then the Theatre group.
That took me to just under 7 minutes when i had to admit defeat.
I hate failure but this programme fails to raise even a semi smile.

I can not keep doing this to myself it could leave me emotionally scarred and devoid of ever laughing again!!!

Try Pete Mitchell's show. That's funny. Unintentionally funny but funny none the less.

Er their words not mine.

I've just got yet another e-mail flogging the tickets for the Out To Lunch finale - this must be at least the 4th time they've sent it out. If they can't even get an audience of 200 for free it shows how poorly-received this show must be.

Problem is one hour is an incredibly long time to be consistantly funny. If you edited the show down to the decent, laugh out loud gems we could then have Danny Baker's All Day Breakfast Show between 1.05 and 2pm!

To be fair to it, they've tweaked the format a bit so there's a little less meandering and is more a case of getting someone into do a turn for 3 minutes, then get someone else. Really, the show should just be 30 minutes to cut out the obvious padding.
