Anyone think that it is.

Indeed could you live without it.

If I am honest during the football season my answer is probably no-certainly happy to do without it completely for all non football shown. Most of the programmes shown are very poor imho.

The real question should be, is a totally sedantry lifestyle bad for you. Yes, but sitting at a pc or reading the paper all day would be equally bad.

In the name of pedantry, it is spelt sedentary!

Is that you ernie, my old mate,/sparring pal, the Chris Evans fan?

Well, I think I'm well on the way there.... just had a quick reckon up on last week's viewing, and it totalled around forty to fifty minutes. Hardly seems worth it, since I now spend most of the time I once spent in front of the TV either listening to the radio via the PC or watching films I've ripped from Torrentspy or similar.

I'm seriously thinking about getting rid of the TV altogether.

I wouldn't want to be without a TV to be honest.

I hate the idea that it should be switched on whenever one comes into the house but I'm afraid it is here..

If I lived alone, I'd probably listen to the radio a lot more than I do now but Mrs Santa is a TV addict! she'll get engrossed in any old tripe available and to make things worse, a manic channel hopper when the ads come on.

I wouldn't like to miss out on good documentaries, sci fi stuff, nature, good programs like Life on Mars and Hustle and nearly any old B movie - British or American.

I could quite happily have all sport related items blocked from my TV! Very Happy

One thing for sure though, it's here to stay and kids will suffer, if not from tv screens, it'll be pc screens. Rolling Eyes
