A group called the Centre for Crime and Justice Studies takes another swipe at the middle classes by implying that they are in a white collar crime wave, including inflation of insurance claims, payment of cash in hand to avoid taxation and theft from work.

As regards the last point, I shan't even pretend that I've never taken a file or pack of envelopes from the workplace for that would be a big fat lie!

But why isn't there the same emphasis on all the unpaid hours that I and many others work?

Ian.

I put no faith in these kind of reports at all. Ask the right questions and anything can be made factual. It's just a complete waste of time and money. No doubt I would be classed as a far right racist biggot!

As an employer, it ruffles me sometimes to see some of my staff exit the building as if jet propelled on the pips and yet I'll know they would have had countless minutes of chatting, tea drinking, lottery card filling, personal phone calls and texting Evil or Very Mad on their shift! Rolling Eyes

Our employers appear to have set all of the flexi-time clocks in our building five minutes slow to claw back some of this tea-drinking/chatting time! Shocked Laughing

Maybe you should try something similar, Santa!
