BBC Radio 2 is to celebrate the work of Andrew Lloyd Webber with a special 90-minute gala concert featuring performances from an array of musical theatre stars.
The event, which will be recorded and broadcast in August, will feature music from a variety of shows that Lloyd Webber has both written and produced in recent years.
It is understood that Argentinian actress Elena Roger will reprise her role as Eva Peron from Evita, recently staged at the Adelphi Theatre, and is expected to perform the songs Don’t Cry for Me Argentina and Buenos Aires.

Is John Barrowman going to sing Everybody's Got AIDS?
Only joking - this was a song from the Lease musical that Gary Johnson sings in Team America World Police, a movie I finally got to see after a friend had raved about it for ages. One of the Team actually confesses to Gary that he got let down by going backstage after a production of Cats and seeing the company drinking and drugging and behaving horribly.
You can see that Trey Parker and Matt Stone really have it in for American luvvies, and they deserved it! _________________ We made a land where crap is king and the good don't last for long.
