Young people, and wrinklies like me, have been celebrating a centenary of Scouting today, and there are more than 25 million of us world wide. I believe it is one of the great British institutions and provides young people from 6 1/2 to 18 with a challenging, interesting and rewarding past time that helps to channel their energy into something constructive while building an ethos of self belief and consideration for others and our environment. IMHO, Scouting is as relevant, if not not more so, today as it ever was and feel that it should be more recognised as such, what do others posters think?

I would like to echo BB's sentiments, as an ex cub, scout, senior scout, and venture scout I can attest to it's continuing relevence. My Granson is now in the cubs, having left the Beavers last year.
