Desmond and Malcolm Laycock, because I KNOW they will play something that I'll enjoy. Smile

I like to hear Chris Evans too as I know at that very moment I can immediately switch over to hear Sean Rafferty and some proper musicians in the R3 studios. Laughing

Leaving aside the furrows that have been ploughed so many times already, I do fing Terry's voice is the morning to be a real tonic. The guy never ever seems to be depressed or down. I'm sure he is some days, but he never lets it show on the radio.

I have to agree with John W and say Desmond Carrington.
His voice is so warm and gives you the impression that he is talking to you rather than at you.
I know it may sound strange but I also feel he seems to transport you to a nicer, happier place.
When his show is over I always feel happy, no matter how I felt beforehand.
I also really like Johnnie Walker and the sadly missed(from Radio 2) Ed Stewart.

Mark Radcliffe, Stuart Maconie, Johnnie Walker - all of these I associate with going on holiday as they always seemed to be covering for someone in the summer!

Brian Matthew, Suzi Quatro, Paul Gambaccini, Johnnie Walker, Bob Harris and Ken Bruce. The music is usually pretty good, too!

Basically anyone who talks to you rather than shouts at you (Usually those who can't get by without a 'posse')

Many of the above--those who digest my postings could probably write some of the list without my input!

But, just to confirm--Brian Matthew, Desmond Carrington, Jeremy Vine, Bob Harris, Humphrey Lyttelton.

This list isn't exhaustive and I may think of more later.

Ian.

Stuart Maconie as he will more often than not, impart some knowledge on a particular song or artist he plays/features.
