It has been called the vehicle of the future and the ultimate way to beat the rush hour commute.

It is the M 200G, otherwise known as a "flying saucer", which is being built by a company in Davis, California called Moller International.

It says the futuristic contraption will go on sale in a few months and hopes to expand production to 250 a year.

Wasn't there a similar version on "Tomorrows World" many years ago?

What - back in the days when the Marconi MkIII's used to have turret lenses?

I don't remember, I'm much too young.

Doesn't look much like a 'traditional' UFO, does it? Smile

Sounds like there'll be lots of mid-air collisions at 10 feet off the ground....

Incidentally, man made flying saucers go back a bit - 1947 at least, if this one is anything to go by:

Then there's also the wild rumours of Nazi flying saucers - including the Kugelblitz, Haunebu and V-7 (but I still haven't come across any tangible proof that they actually existed).
