Today September 7th would have been Buddy Holly's 71st (!) birthday. Instead he is frozen in time at 22 years old. I wonder if he would still composing music today that would be as memorable as the songs he wrote during his brief spell of fame. Anyway, here's to you, Buddy! |

Wogan played Raining In My Heart this morning Briant. He made some reference to the song beforehand but I didn't catch it all, so maybe it was about this.

Hello H. Yes, both well thanks! I don't think I had a request on SOTS other than the Three in a row recently. Funny enough I am wearing the SOTS Radio 2 polo shirt today!
Here is a bit of trivia for you. 'Winkie Doll/Girls' by Billy Dalton (1961) was actually by Glen Campbell. I managed to get a copy recently and when I played it, I realised I had bought in back in the sixties, just because I liked the song! |
