Today September 7th would have been Buddy Holly's 71st (!) birthday. Instead he is frozen in time at 22 years old. I wonder if he would still composing music today that would be as memorable as the songs he wrote during his brief spell of fame. Anyway, here's to you, Buddy!

Wogan played Raining In My Heart this morning Briant. He made some reference to the song beforehand but I didn't catch it all, so maybe it was about this.

Hello H. Yes, both well thanks! I don't think I had a request on SOTS other than the Three in a row recently. Funny enough I am wearing the SOTS Radio 2 polo shirt today!
Here is a bit of trivia for you. 'Winkie Doll/Girls' by Billy Dalton (1961) was actually by Glen Campbell. I managed to get a copy recently and when I played it, I realised I had bought in back in the sixties, just because I liked the song!
