Did a racoon fall asleep on his face or something? That's the worst looking beard I've seen in a long time.

Terrible beard. Opinion in our house is that he's had plastic surgery and it's gone a bit wrong. He certainly seems to look a bit thinner and less bumpy.

Ross is not too popular in the BBC it seems

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article2414776.ece

David Dimbleby, criticised the BBC’s decision to pay the presenter Jonathan Ross £18m over three years.

“There is not a single person in the BBC who would defend what Jonathan Ross got,” said Dimbleby. “It was a terrible mistake.”

Maybe right, but an;t all beeb employees on good money or comfortable what they receive? I wouldn't say Dimbleby was skint, as he has other interests outside the corporation.

I think it's great to hear somebody openly criticise this farce for a change. Of course it's a rediculous amount of money for Ross.

He's not that good in the first place is he? ok, entertaining in a teeth gritting way, but he's no Johnnie Walker is he!
Saturday he actually left his phone on so his daughter could text him to say she arrived somewhere! then we had to hear all about it. Yawn.

I'd bet there are many presenters who are really eaten up by the likes of Ross and Evans...

Good on you David!

now just get some "real world" people on Question Time and we'll be getting somewhere.....

Could not agree more.

JR is simply not worth the money full stop.

As far as radio is concerned the BBC should hire less celebrity types and hire more radio focussed professionals.

If he was as good as he thinks, I'm sure his guests would be more relaxed. Yet Pegg, Sandler and Knightley all seemed on edge and wary. I like them all and would love to have heard more from them. Knightley couldn't disguise her desire to get off (she's not that good an actress...)

He's no Chris Evans either.

They are alike in that I can listen to neither & both are grossly overpaid IMHO!

Who would that be? Wink Every single broadcaster is on good money, some on a little more than others, but most are comfortable.

The annual salary for Chris Evans versus the annual salary for Ken Bruce-I don't think the difference is a little.

But they each earn more than a nurse does in an hour or even a week, pressing a few buttons and speaking to the world. So who ever earns more or less than those mentioned are comfortable.

I press buttons a lot of the time, but I might only speak to 10 people in a week.

I'm amazed more nurses aren't retraining to become DJ's. That would solve the obvious shortage of DJ's which has driven their pay rates up to these ridiculously high levels!

If it wasn't for Sarah Kennedy there'd be even more nurses unemployed... Wink
