Thinking of the forthcoming 40th anniversary celebrations, which of today's presenters was also on the Light Programme before 30.9.67?

David Jacobs, Desmond Carrington and Brian Matthew definitely were.

But I'm unsure re Terry Wogan and Humphrey Lyttleton.

Does anyone know for certain?

Ian.

Paul Hollingdale, Jimmy Young?
Apparently Paul Hollingdale was already broadcasting on air when the formal 'switch on' of R1/R2 took place and this was just a continuation of Paul's show.

Terry Wogan hosted a few Midday Spins for the Light just before the launch of Radio 1/2.

As far as I know Humph was a new signing for the start of Radio 2.

Sorry I wasn't quite explicit enough. I meant to refer to ex-Light Programmers who are still heard regularly on R2 now.

But yes, both PH and JY were there at the start.

Sorry Ian, I mis-read it as well.
