So browsing through the Radio Times yesterday evening, and, in an attempt to halt her channel hopping, I said to my wife " Antiques Road Show is on"...... Very Happy

She carried on channel hopping and I stuck to the computer. Sad

This morning, people have told me there was an old model fairground ride on the programme. ( Golden Gallopers )
I sat having a coffee telling my Brother in Law how I used to help my dad to make many such model fairground rides back in the 60's when my brother phoned to ask if I'd seen dad's roundabout on Antiques Roadshow! Shocked

It was one of his as it had "Pendle's Amusements" on the fascias.

Typical.

I may try and contact the present owner to tell him exactly where and when it was made! Laughing

I wonder if they'll show the programme again?

You should be able to download AR from BBC iPlayer.

Thanks Toggy, I didn't know this existed Laughing
Unfortunately, I just looked it up and it appears I have to have Windows XP and a broadband connection, both of which I don't.... Sad

I found iPlayer extremely fiddly to set up and use - and it didn't like Mozilla Firefox as a browser, more's the pity.

It's a product of the much-too-cosy relationship between the BBC and Bill Gates. I think iPlayer's appalling!

It's not the easiest thing to use but I wouldn't call it appalling. I find it handy if I forget to watch something, not that it happens much but it's good to know it's there just in case.
