Yes, he said he was told it by the big boss but he probably read Mark Thompson's comments in the papers like I did.

There are those whose shows did not depend on competitions ( Terry, Sarah) and those who have had to earn their money (SW, CE). No doubt Mr Evans will revert to "10 things you can fall off" and other such edifying experiences. As for 'The Big Quiz' I despair. Still, Messrs Wright and Evans have to get rid of the junk in their offices somehow.
