Bedfordshire is the worst-performing police force in England and Wales, an unofficial league table based on Home Office ratings suggests.

Just because somebody might live in Bedfordshire doesn't imply that they'll be able to "tell all" about their Police force, does it? |

Just because somebody might live in Bedfordshire doesn't imply that they'll be able to "tell all" about their Police force, does it? |
But then again they might.
Luton seems to have got a very bad reputation for crime at the moment, so I would assume that people are unhappy with how the police are dealing with it.

Bedfordshire's a big county - and Luton's just one small bit of it. I still how residents can be expected to "tell all" just because they happen to live in Bedfordshire. What about the residents of Turvey or Cranfield or Bedford? |

The problem with league tables is they rarely (if ever) represent what is really happening. Some forces play to the figures by targeting their resources to make it look like they're doing a good job, while other forces do what they need to do on the ground. I know where I'd rather be.
