I know he was very poorly a couple of years ago when he had a severe reaction to an insect bite, he did recover from that.

Yeah, when he was poorly last year I went on the R4 messageboards and eventually got a proper report on his condition. This seems to be unrelated and sudden.

only really knew him from call my bluff but i liked his humour and his raport with sandy(its late so not gonna attempt her last name, it would only send my spellchecker into a frenzy Laughing

he appeared to a real nice guy and would have been a good laugh in a pub i bet. another sad loss. Sad

Used to look forward to reading his column in The Times, and bought many of his books (which my brother borrowed and never returned, I am now reminded). He and Sandi were a great double act as team leaders on Call My Bluff.

Sad news indeed.
