Sad to hear that Russell Watson is again in hospital for brain surgery -
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7061320.stm - this time sounds a bit more serious.

He was to have sung one of the anthems at the NFL game at Wembley this weekend and, although I know many people have reservations about his abilities as a singer of light classical and opera, many more love his voice and his personality.

We wish him well soon.

Very sorry to hear this. He's such a young age for this to happen.

I saw him at the Audley end proms last summer, he had a fabulous voice. The description of an agressive brain tumour does not bode well, I hope he will be OK.

Singer Russell Watson is "recovering well" from emergency surgery on a brain tumour and is in a stable condition, a hospital official has said.
"He is talking for brief periods and has been eating small amounts of food," added Michael Stroud of the private Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle.

An update. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7070144.stm

Obviously some way to go, but a remarkable recovery. Fingers crossed.

Sory to pick up on this news-hoping he recovers full health very soon.

Interestingly enough I listened to a show of his he put together for British Airways on their in flight entertainment service on a journey from Australia to the Uk yesterday. I have to say I think he has a very good singing voice which I had not appreciated until now.
