This is dreadful news-remember the last time PM was on covering for Dermot he was truly rubbish.

I don't think Pete is rubbish if he's asked to present on a national radio station. He's been in the business for a hell of a long time, and has gained listeners and awards.

I've just looked at some of the photos on the Pete Mitchell pages on the Radio 2 web site. Clearly, the man doesn't use a comb often enough.

But have you ever seen anyone who looks so miserable about his guests?
