Oh dear its going to be another Christmas of misery for the residents of Albert Square.

On Christmas day Tanya decides to video the family settling down to lunch and discovers that Bradley and Stacey's wedding is still on the video camera. She sits and watches the tape and finally comes across Max and Stacey having a post wedding kiss. Naturally things do not go too well after that as she plays the tape to the whole family which includes Bradley, Stacey and of course Dot.

Billy and Honey are evicted on Christmas Eve as Phil sells their flat to ease the Vic's ongoing money problems. They move in with Pat temporarily, who only just having got rid of Kevin et al is non too pleased.

Roxy ends up in Casualty after Ronniie catches her messing around with Jack, From what I've heard she slings the turkey at her. Another Mitchell Christmas down the toilet then.

There is still a very strong rumour that there will be the traditional death, here are the contenders.

First up , and most likely, is Jim Branning. We all know why and what the likely cause is going to be.

Kevin Wicks - Is killed in a robbery at the car lot.

Steven Wicks/Beale - Suicide

Sean Slater - also suicide (after finding out he has the same medical condition as his mum).

Who the hell are Poxy and Vommie?

Suicides and death at Christmas in Albert Square. Has that soap ever had a happy Christmas? I thought things would be different now Pauline Fowler is brown bread. Obviously not.

I watch EastEnders and have never heard either character referred to by those names! Not even by posters on Talk Walford!

Sounds like a mighty miserable time for you, the viewer, Mark.

Basically (and I'm sure I'm not the only one) I really don't care about Eastenders at Christmas or any other time.

Blimey! Is Eastenders still going? ....Last time I watched it there was guy called Wilmot-Brown who ran a rival pub which got burned down after he raped Kathy Beal..... .. it was about the same time as the plane crash in Emmerdale when Eric Pollard murdered his wife and put her body amongst the plane wreckage; which was also about if not exactly the same time as my divorce.... not really watched TV since.

You've not missed much, really, at least not in Soapland, since the same old plotlines keep coming around.

With the Max/Tanya/Bradley/Stacey thing I get a sense of deja vue - Phil/Sharon/Grant/Michelle?

Christmas Day has always traditionally been TV-free in our house, but with mother, mother-in-law and sister-in-law in attendance this year (not to mention the offspring) I think King Canute had a better chance with the North Sea.

Yep Christmas is a day for cooking, eating, wading through wrapping paper, avoiding people with cameras, wondering why your parents bought you that baby name book and arguing about who's fault it is that everyone assumed someone else was bringing the mince pies. Smile

Is the Christmas Day synopsis based on info or speculation?

Ian.

All this just for one day. Shocked Shops shut for one day, ok the supermarkets two days, and the weekend before hand people go shopping and spend money on food which will go to waste, thinking the country is shut down for a week.. Laughing

No surprises. Firstly, the storylines were decided upon months ago (rumours then get out), the scripts were written a few weeks before the shoots (more leaks), and now that everything's in the can ready to roll, the press are given NDA press releases, plus of course little bits that they're "allowed" to put into the public domain so that people like Mark can then cut and paste the revelations and improve the publicity for the BBC1 Christmas schedule!
