I happened to catch a little of R&M's show this evening where Stuart played Wichita Lineman on his guitar with Mark doing the leadbreak on his Ukulele! Laughing Laughing
I've never heard their show before but this little section had me laughing. They finished the tune with " Is all material still copyright?" Wink
Love the show!

Unless the family has totally tee'd me off, or I'm feeling unsociable, and I go and hide away with a pair of headphones, I don't get to hear much evening radio, but I know M+R do occasionally throw up gems such as that. Unfortunately the revving of Radcliffe's voicebox "erm...ermm...ermmm" makes a lot of the programme hard to take (for me).

I do love the show, but sadly missed that last night (ironically because I was at a BBC Radio recording just a few streets away). I shall have to Listen Again.

I can understand why a few may not like Mark's speech manner, but personally I like it. I feel I'd get on good with both Mark and Stuart in the pub.
I don't seem to listen to night time radio anymore but hopefully this'll change. From what I heard, they work really well together and it makes for an interesting and amusing show.
Oh why can't we have them on Drivetime! Confused

When I first heard Mark his speech bugged me too, but I slowly got used to it and now like it - it's part of his personality and it seem 'wrong' if he didn't umm and ahhh from time to time.

Besides which, I guess it doesn't really matter how he talks - he knows his music and seems like a decent guy, so what the heck.

I have been saying this for months, in fact ever since their show started, I particularly enjoy their Thursday shows when Noddy Holder enlightens us with some real little gems. Oh Yes Santa, they could do for Drivetime what Geoff Hurst did for England. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
