Who watched EastEnders tonight? What a powerful episode! Surprised

Poor Billy and Honey at the end of the episode. They made me cry! Crying or Very sad

This is the THIRD time in 11 years EastEnders has ever had this effect on me! The first time was Arthur Fowler's death in May 1996, and Ethel Skinner's euthenasia storyline in September 2000.

Terry Bates is a vile bastard. Mad:

They are moaning about it on the POV TV board. Saying it was to violent. I think it's had some poor scripts in the past!! It's going back to the good old days of strong scripts and storylines. Hopefully more too come once Phil ( Steve McFadden ) returns. Keep watching when he's back on the square in the next week or two?

The episode was very similar to Green Street! The way the guys smashed the Vic up, beat up men (and women), threatened everyone then watched pregnant Honey lay there on the floor in agony after knocking her down. It was gruesome but powerful stuff!

I did watch this on our satellite. I think it is rubbish - like big gangsters using language like: you really peeve me off and scumbag. Even as i am not english I would laugh if a person says those things to me. What a joke it is, yes?

No anybody can have sky in espana if we pay for it on the satellite. Lots of the brits here (you know the ones, they drink lager and eat the patatas fritas lots and make noises like animals but we laughs at them and takes the money!) have sky on their TV. Easy.

Yes - Brits abroad have Sky illegally! Many often base their subscription from a UK address and have their Sky viewing card shipped out to them from a friend or relative in the UK.

Anyway, back to EastEnders. Are you watching the repeat on BBC Three right now (Sky channel 115)? I would, but it will make me cry again. Crying or Very sad

Violent scenes in a recent edition of the BBC One soap opera EastEnders have prompted 663 complaints.

The scenes, broadcast on 13 November, showed a gang of thugs carrying out an attack in The Queen Victoria pub.

The BBC said it was "very careful" to make sure the violence was "implied rather than explicit" however, Sunday's omnibus edition will now be re-edited.

A line in the same episode about the Hillsborough tragedy prompted 380 complaints and the BBC has apologised.

Maybe the BBC knew they were going to get some complaints, but carried on showing it?

Of course the BBC knew they were going to get complaints about the episode. Mary Whitehouse would be so proud. Rolling Eyes

Don't think there's a thread about the main 'enders story, Ronnie/Kat and the baby, but I expect quite a few tears were shed by the ladies over this evening's episode. Good episode but I just thought there was too much else going on (wedding, car accident).

I wonder if the 'enders traffic at Digital Spy has just now caused the site to be overwhelmed and shut down?
