I have heard that Alastair Stewart is to replace Michael Parkinson from January! I love Alastair; he's a true pro!
If this is true, then another excellent decision made by Lesley Douglas! I'm still over the moon Danny Baker is joining 6 Music from January! |

Scott, you're praising the Dame for making "excellent" decisions? Have you flipped? (<- yes, I wrote the word "flip", it wasn't the result of one of John's cock-ups this time!!). |

Danny Baker and Alastair Stewart on board the Douglas Gravy Train? Credit where credit is due!
I still loathe the woman for the shambles she's made of Drivetime and Saturdays. |

How accurate is your news Scott that Alistair Stewart is replacing Michael Parkinson-I have not read about this anywhere else. |

Mark, it's just a rumour I have heard! My guess Alastair Stewart would continue to play the same bland music and maintain the pompous atmosphere of the programme! |

Thanks-okay there's still a chance (slim I guess) then that Richard Allinson could be brought in. I'll keep my fingers crossed. |

I think Richard Allinson should be on 7-days-a-week at these times:
Weekdays: 5.00 - 7.00pm
Saturdays and Sundays: 3.00 - 6.00pm |

I think Elaine Paige would make an ideal replacement for Brian M. when he eventually stands down from SOTS. She has great charisma, presence, musical knowledge and - above all - a lovely endearing voice. Elaine for president! (Swoon ) |

Elaine Paige is only suitable for one thing only: the axe!
How dare you suggest she is promoted! |

Alastair Stewart used to host a Sunday morning current affairs programme on Radio 5 Live. It was excellent listening!
Alastair Stewart is brilliant on London Tonight. He's the only reason why I watch (and if you look closely at him he often leers at the female co-host!). |

Over the weekend, in a bored moment browsing the Sky channels, I came across a repeat of one of his Police Camera Sanctimony shows. It was an episode devoted to the dangers of drinking and driving. It raised a smirk from me, watching this eejit lecturing on the subject, when he's been done (is it my imagination or was it his second such conviction?) at over three times the limit! |

You're slacking, Iain. I thought you were a major source of information when it came to changes to Radios 1 and 2? |
