Off on my travels again for a few days (Cheshire and Yorkshire) so should be back on early next week.

Regards to all.

Ian.

I hope you and your wife have a lovely trip, Ian.

Please bring us all back a stick of rock!

Very Happy

Thanks very much. I don't think the East Cheshire or South Yorkshire areas do much in terms of sticks of rock but I had a nice, if wet, time.

Was it cold up there, Ian? I remember a time I visited the Yorkshire Dales (must be circa 1989) with my family. I would have been 11 at the time. All I can remember is how wet and cold it was!

Thanks, Scott. Actually Yorkshire is 'down there' to us but yes, it was cold. Yesterday morning we were on the A6 at Disley, Cheshire, and cars coming down from Buxton had a layer of snow on them. Later we were on the A628, in the Woodhead area, and, though the road itself was clear, there was a significant dusting of snow on the surrounding hills.

Ian.
