He defiantly wont be getting that job back. I wonder if the people he stole from will be contacting him now? |

"I stole CDs and birthday cards too. I was on drugs - you can't blame me!"
I don't think that excuse will wash with the people whose property he stole. R2 employing a self-confessed thief? It just gets worse. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

Hmmmmm not sure about that. If he'd been caught and had been punished, ( fine , prison, community service or whatever) then it would be ok to work at R2- debt to society paid but if he was confessing ( boasting) to a previously unresolved crime, on air , then that is a different matter. So what if it was just a few CDs.
Man says to woman .. would you sleep with me for £10?
Woman says , certainly not what kind of woman do you think I am?
Man says to woman... would you sleep with Brad Pit for £1,000,000
Woman says of course I would.
Man says .. so we've established what kind of woman you are... now we're just haggling over the price.
Likewise with RB ...we've established what kind of a person he is.

Mark,
Russell Brand is a famous comedian (and he's quite rich). Why would he want to return to working for Royal Mail?
Somebody on another thread has commented that his wife was in bed on Saturday night listening to Russell Brand. She found him somewhat offensive and vulgar. I can only echo her views. |

He's putting himself about a lot, or even more than usual, at the moment.
He cropped up on ITV's tribute to Kenny Everett last night, for no more apparent valid reason than he admired and was inspired by him. Shame none of Kenny's charm or sense of humour seem to have rubbed off... _________________ Ron |

Spot on, Rachel. BAe Systems trials GR.7 with drop tanks and Brimstone (not sure if we're meant to 'know' about the latter yet!).

Or wit, broadcasting ability or several other things I could think of. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

Scott, I was that someone. My wife was unwell on Saturday, and not realising put the bedside radio on.
Will Mr Brand apologise for being offensive? _________________ Geddon

This is why he's on after the watershed. Strange kids are up late these day and way past 9pm. I have listened to him a few time, and all I hear coming out of my speaker is laughing and someone trying to be funny to the nation. He's not my cup of tea. |

Mark, kids (I presume you're talking about minors) shouldn't be listening to Radio 2 - nor should they be listening to the filth that pours out of Russell Brand's mouth. Whenever I have heard the show all it's been is Russell screeching, shouting and laughing like a demented Dalek. How anyone can endure Brand and his two hours of toilet humour is beyond me. |

I watched Russell Brand on the Jonathon TV Ross show (again) last night along with Jack Dee (again).
Apart from a few moments where I felt a little uncomfortable by him ridiculing the New James Bond chap ( forgot his name ) I found him funny and quite likeable.
They also showed a little of his stage show from his DVD.
I think he could drop some of the unnecessary swearing but maybe that's just me.
I can understand how some wouldn't like him but I think he's pretty entertaining. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07
I have heard how radio should be. |
