I see from the Xmas schedules that Chris Moyles is due to deliver a 12 hr stint on NY's Day on Radio 1 from 7am-7pm.

I wonder if Radio 2 management would ever do the same in respect of one of their presenters.

If you were in charge at Radio2 which presenter do you think would be able to deliver a 12 hour shift.

I would go for Sarah Kennedy-only joking-seriously I would go for Johnnie Walker from the full timers but my preference would be for Richard Allinson if he could be included in the mix.

I'd be surprised if many of Moyles' supposed typical audience would be awake and in any fit state to listen to him for at least half that stint, so his effort, and presumably his sacrifice of a guid New Year, seems fairly pointless.

As to Radio 2, the only person I could imagine having the inclination, as well as the ability, to do 12 hours, would be Richard Allinson, but it's not something I would wish on anyone, and I certainly wouldn't want to listen to it all.

What a pointless exercise! who would want to listen to 12 hours of anybody?? not me for sure. Rolling Eyes

I bet motor mouth would take it on.

I'd dip in and out of a Radcliffe & Maconie 12 hour show mind you.
