Is it me? Or has the better part of today's show consisted of him conducting one-sided conversations with his producer? Are we supposed to hang around listening to the silence while Dermot verifies the facts about each artist/record that every other presenter would feel duty bound to have found out before going on air.

At one point, he complains "come on, you're supposed to be producing me". What does he think he gets paid for? Glove puppetry? Shocked

Sorry Minx can't help you here as I am listening to Thursday's Radders and Maconie show, however, in my opinion O'Bleary is little more than a glove puppet, as "radio presenters" go and should be given the order of the boot! Still not long now till Stuart's excellent Saturday show starts. Very Happy

Ah yes, Maconie. Sanity returns in the form of professional music presentation and, no doubt, some grown up humour. Very Happy

I wasn't particularly listening to the show but a radio was on whilst I was hanging yet more Christmas decs up. Rolling Eyes
Yes, I noticed gaps and general mumblings in his show. But then again, I'm biased. I think he's rubbish.
Did I hear him say next week is his last show? Razz

Pete Mitchell is much better in the slot. He knows more about music as he's been in the business for a while. Hey, everyone has to learn..

Nah, he's always done this. 3 years in the job and still not realised that those off-camera looks don't work so well on the radio...

No way Mark O/Dark Night.

Pete Mitchell is no way near as good as Dermot O'Leary-Dermot is a fine presenter and is extremely good in the Saturday afternoon slot imho.

Pete Mitchell needs to raise his game considerably before he is considered for a show in daylight hours.
