Fabio Capello will be appointed the next manager of England later on Thursday, BBC Sport understands.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The lineup could include Former Skipper Alan Shearer and Stuart Pearce to help him, and so the players know what he's talking about
Could David Beckham be finally axed for good as he was at Real Madrid when Fabio was incharge? |

As I loathe anything to do with football, I don't give a monkey's who's in charge.
But I do wonder why on earth don't we have a British manager? are they all that bad that we have rely on Johnny Foreigner? _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Santa, After the MacLaren fiasco, it is unlikely than any of the current generation of English managers will gat the England Job. _________________ Geddon

Well, I don't know what that was about but surely an England Team should have an English Manager, or British at least?
I don't get football at all, although I do watch the World Cup if we're in it.
The last time I saw the supposedly wonderful Beckham play, I thought he was rubbish! _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Spending a lot of time in Spain, we got to see a lot of this guy on TV. "Charisma by-pass" isn't really strong enough to describe the footage we've seen of him. I doubt there will be a lot of chummy stuff going down once he beds in. Could be just what's needed after the McLaren soft touch though. Just hope our celeb-seekers and champagne charlies are up to it! |
