The BBC scored a festive ratings success with nine of the 10 most watched TV programmes on Christmas Day, according to overnight viewing figures.

I didn't watch any soaps, the only thing I watched yestarday was To the Manor Born. I thought it was great, I don't know if this will lead to more new episodes or not but it did get good ratings. |

I was forced towatch this yesterday. What a load of carp it was.
It was so badly written and obvious that it could have been written by a 5 year old. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Well the BBC is having to cut back
I always watch Eastenders and I have to say I thought it was good. Tanya played her part very well and so did her kids, specially the blonde haired one.
Imagine being caught out that way? blimey.
Maybe I'm easily pleased.... _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

The only thing worth watching was Harry Hill's TV Burp!
Oh and the last 10 minutes of the Irish comedy Killinaskully but only because the Saw Doctors were on it! |

Well I didn't watch any of it as I thought what a load of normal rubbish, lets have something different and special for Christmas. Bob Dylan's Theme Time Hour was good though.

We watched Ballet Shoes, in my case mainly because Victoria Wood was in it.
Beautifully done but there was no disguising the tenousness of the story itself.

Ditto, although Victoria's part was relatively minor.
Watched Darcey Bussell's favourite ballet excerpts afterwards - not very deep but brought the two-day Christmas period to a relaxing close.
As far as Christmas Day viewing was concerned, tradition was thrown to the wind and the television was on, initially for Finding Nemo and Shrek 2, for the benefit of the youngsters, and inevitably got left on.
As chief cook and bottle washer I missed most of it, but from all the noise and shouting I could tell that Dr Who was a lot of fuss about not very much, and that, as ever, EastEnders was quite unsuitable as early evening family entertainment.
Our visitors departed just before Catherine Tate and her repertoire of characters shouting the F-word appeared. Apparently she's killed off the one who doesn't use it. Am I bovvered? _________________ Ron |
