The Christmas in Motown was just dire, sorry a presenter you ain't, the music was great, shame about the bits in between. Crying or Very sad What do you other listeners and posters think?

She doesn't do it for me. Never sounds spontaneous or natural, and I hate it when she starts parodying accents. But the music was good.

Did anyone catch Stewpot early afternoon?. Loved the music - a real trip down memory lane, and especially Alexander's Beetle by Melanie.

Funny you should say that, I was just thinking of posting a similar moan on the BBC POV messageboard. Lulu really is, to coin a phrase, 'pants' when it comes to presenting a radio programme.

Great music though, shame about the dire presenter.

Agree with the general sentiments but should this be on the gripes board?

Ian.

Personally I thought the music was excellent and ,even if Lulu's presenting skills leave a little to be desired, she was still far superior to the normal mediocrity at that time of the day. Much better than the bland and dull Tarbuck today as well.

I thought Liza did very well, especially considering it was her first time on her own. Far, FAR better than the dreadful Lulu ho has had much more experience.

The Motown Christmas special did suck big time compared to Stewpot's show.

I am fed up that Ed didn't play 'Three Wheels On My Wagon' - I requested it for my niece's birthday on 30 Dec. I enjoyed Melanie's 'Alexander Beetle' though - was she really Cerys Matthews' mum?
