GCap Media has signed Capital Radio presenter James Cannon to take over the breakfast show from David Jensen on Gold. Co-host Erika North will continue on the show whilst Jensen, who has only been in the slot for less than a year, will move to mid-mornings.

I wasn't really surprised on Jensen leaving Breakfast and James Cannon taking over as he was dropped from Mid-Mornings on Capital Radio in their shake up recently. |

Mark, do you actually manage to listen to all these obscure presenters and stations?
I've never heard of any of them! _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07
I have heard how radio should be. |

Jensen is good, but just not breakfast show material.
They are still sticking with Mike Sweeney and are running music documentaries running from 7pm to 8pm and specialist music shows from 10-12pm
Monday night with a repeat of Saturday's Rock Show, featuring a variety of guest presenters.
Tuesday night revisists Bottom to the Top where a celebrity guest talks about their chart success.
Wednesday night is '60s night as Mike Sweeney spins his favourite 60s Classics while on Thursdays, we travel back to the 50s with At The Hop featuring the best in rock 'n roll, doo-wop and more _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west.....

He covered Breakfast on Capital and been on the station for a long time. |

Cannon is from the same background as Allinson then, being Capitals fill a gap in the schedule guy. I thought Allinson might get Gold's Breakfast Show. I wonder did he go for it?
On a different note Graham Dene's Guess the Year on Smooth between 9 and 10 is interesting. He plays a lot of songs that dont often get featured in these type of oldies shows. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

No it doesn't Ernie.
Richard's timesheet for this week with the BBC must look good on the pay front. |
