Just been listening to Bob's country show from earlier tonite, what an excellent interview with one of my country idols, Kimmie Rhodes. She has written some great music and is admired by many more well known artists like her great friend Emmylou Harris, Willie Nelson and the late Waylon Jennings. I am hoping to see her live in September at Llandudno. Thanks Bob it was fantastic to listen to you chatting to Kimmie. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Hi BB,

Yes, I managed to catch the last 20 minutes and enjoyed both Bob's conversation with Kimmie and her set. Someone else I've added to my ever-growing Amazon wish list of CDs! Smile

I saw Emmylou on BBC 4 I think, and she sang a great song called 'Love and happiness' and then I heard Kimmie Rhodes sing it on Bob's show. Right up there with Dylan's song 'Forever young' in my book! Smile

Hi Cherskiy, thought you might like this lady, I have 2 of her Cds, West Texas Heaven is my favourite. However, Picture In A Frame is just excellent. There are duets on West Texas Heaven with Willie, Waylon and Townes Van Zandt. Picture In A Frame is all duets with Willie, if you like love songs, this is the Cd for you with such tracks as Valentine and Love Me Like A Song. She is appearing at many venues this year in the UK, we are going to see her in September at Llandudno, why not join us and fit in some aicraft photograpy. The show is The North Wales Country Music Festival on at Venue Cymru 5,6 & 7 Sept. The line up includes:- Albert Lee, Kalibre, The Fabulous Picasso Bros, The Haleys, Chuck Micallef and Iona & Andy, show compared by Nick Barraclough. Cost of the ticket for the 3 days is approximately £35 available on 01492 872000.
