A brand new series for Radio 2’s Saturday comedy hour!

In a sumptuous salon (the Drill Hall in London), four professionally witty, catty, clever gossip-mongers compete to be the Total Bitch.

There are no teams - it's every girl/boy for themselves. The catfight is controlled by the host who doesn’t ask questions to get answers. Rather, the questions are there to unleash a torrent of slating and slanging from a stellar line-up of panellists.

Is it not time for R2 to scrap the so-called 'Comedy Hour' and leave it to the tried and tested panel games on R4 to provide amusement?

There's nothing wrong with the comedy hour in itself, it just needs some comedy put into it. I'll agree with you that a radio version of Jerry Springer type shows (if you can call them that) won't water the R2 desert that will exist from this coming saturday after Sounds Of The 60s has ended. Oh for the days of News Huddlines, that genuinely had me laughing. As did a few other comedy hour shows in those days.
