Today my team Liverpool drew with Arsenal and I ran over the electric cable with the lawnmower! Luckily, I am still here! |

My middle son, who now lives in Yorkshire but has remained fiercely loyal to the Toon Army, can say the same!
Well done, anyway, Chersky.

Late to this thread, but my Saturay afternoon was unexpectedly expensive. I broke a lens in my specs. £94 to get that single lens replaced _________________ ~~~ Niblet ~~~

I listened to Dermot - he wasn't too bad. Played much the same stuff as Stuart did (but, of course, without the wit or knowledge between records). |

Talking of specs, I was pleasantly surprised last week when I returned my two pairs of new Bi-focal glasses to Tesco, saying that I didn't like the lenses at all, just couldn't get on with them.
"That's ok" said the assistant, "we'll re-glaze them to single focus - free of charge"
To be fair, the optician only suggested I had Bi-focal, it was my decision to order them ( about £300 ) so I thought it was very decent of them to replace the lenses for free?
