Can you think of any songs with very few lyrics that are not instrumental?
Bob Dylans' All The Tired Horses is one of my favourites. Bob does not sing on it- but a female chorous sing the verse.
The lyrics in full follow- repeated several times during the song-

All the tired horses in the sun
How'm I supposed to get any ridin' done? Hmm.

John Stewart's lament for The Kennedys and Martin Luther King uses a horse metaphor too, Clive: John and his wife Buffy Ford Stewart do a wonderful version on the live album 'The Phoenix Concerts' (1974) as part of the epic song 'The Last Campaign Trilogy.'

'Shoot all the brave horses and how will we ride?
Shoot all the brave horses and how will we ride?
And ford the cold waters, oh how will we ride?'

What about "Know" by Nick Drake fro his Pink Moon album?
"Know that I love you,
Know I don't care,
Know that I see you,
Know I'm not there".

On the Complete Madness sleeve, the lyrics to Return Of The Los Palmas 7 consist of 'Waiter!'
