Very pleased to hear that Adrian Chiles has decided not to transfer from BBC to ITV.

Whilst I'm sure he would have been a great asset to ITV's football coverage, I don't think the ONE Show or the Apprentice--You're Fired would be quite the same without his throwaway humour.

Ian.

Good to see someone on TV sticking up for the Brummy lot.

Not interested in football anyway so I'm glad to hear he is staying, I like him, he dosen't take himself too seriously and always takes the jokes others say against him in good sprirt.

I'm glad as well. He's one of those "home-grown" people, who have been with the BBC for a very long time - 12 years on Working Lunch, which I used to catch at work, if my lunch break was right, and he was just as laid-back, urbane and occasionally witty on that. The sort of nurtured talent which ITV have a nasty habit of poaching and then wasting.

Dont see why ITV needed him anyway. Steve Ryder is fine anyway in a no nonsense, get on with it type of way. I actually prefer him now to the Gary Linekar, look at me I'm so witty, style of presenting.

GL was downright irritating during the Masters the other week. Couldn't see the point of sending him there in the first place.
