Do you dread yours? I never go to the one where I work, why I hear you cry!

Well I hate the parties they put on, I'm not into all this'let's just get pissed and annoy everyone' type stuff. The disco is always too loud (I'm old!) and the people who usually ignore me try to be nice and then ignore me again the next day Mad

I've got a perfect excuse this time though as my O/H's company do is on the same day Very Happy where he works the parties are fun, usually there are some casino games and other such things to lark about with. The people are all genuine and nice and the food is always good.

Next Friday is the big night. Cool

We never have one at the place I work now. It alright mixing in with collegues at work, but some out of work will just go on and on about it and then it spoils it. I have been out with a few guys from work and wish they would leave it where it is and enjoy the night.

I heard Office Partys mentioned on Radio 2 today. Some use them a stepping stone to get up the ladder. Some speak to the manager first which can be a good and bad thing. You can end up getting in the bad books with office partys. So they an't all glamourous as they are made out to be.

I also hated office parties when I was a working girl and never went to one if I could avoid it. Now I'm retired of course it is no longer a problem. There used to be an awful lot of people at work the next day who couldn't look each other in the eye ....... Shocked Laughing Laughing

We're off to the Harvester next Friday afternoon followed by a club! Been a while since I last went clubbing! Hopefully, I might pull! Cool

We're not having one this year - there are only twelve people in the office, and a few of them said they wouldn't come, so we're just going out for drinks after work on the Friday before Christmas yawn!!!! Mind you, last year was a shambles - we had to wait HOURS for dinner and got a refund it was so bad!!
