Topics for discussion on today's JV show:-
ABORTION - MPs are voting on measures to reduce the upper limit for abortions from 24 weeks to 22 or even 20 weeks.
SUPPORTING POLAND - With home nations failing to qualify, some argue that we should support Poland in the Euro 2008 tournament.
CLUSTER BOMBS - The government says it won't support an all-out ban on cluster bombs as more than 100 countries discuss a treaty which would outlaw the weapons.
BANNED FROM CAT ADOPTION - A family from Kent have been denied the chance to re-home a cat from an RSPCA shelter because the estate they live on is notorious for anti-social behaviour.
Over to you all now!

How about having a summer off football seeing as we haven't qualified? Everytime the TV is switched on in our house it's football.........I need a break, I've had enough for one season!

ABORTION - I'm against reducing the upper limit
SUPPORTING POLAND - Like you, I'd rather take advantage and have a complete break from football. If we must fill the time with more sport, lets get some minority sports in the limelight instead.
CLUSTER BOMBS - I put these in the same category as land mines.
BANNED FROM CAT ADOPTION - I think the RSPCA made the right decision. Unfortunately for the lady concerned she understandably took it personally which the decision clearly wasn’t meant to be. _________________ Mig |

1. It's an odd world of medicine where it's a "miracle" that a baby born prematurely at 25 weeks can be saved but in the very next room it's a lifestyle choice for a healthy baby to be aborted at 24 weeks. My simplistic mind can't understand that.
2.Why? Let's do something else instead. Maybe a series of huge outdoor concerts - get the people together and have some fun.
3. Cluster Bombs - nasty indiscriminate things |

I'm even with 12 weeks. The debate on Jeremys show was interesting. It slightly upset me whilst listening the nurse and other saying they can hear a slight gasp of air.
It's a strong debate which I'm really interested in. |
