Not an unannounced day off as he mentioned it in his blog yesterday. RA did a good job but the music chosen wasn't particularly wonderful. That's the trouble with ARF, a bit hit and miss. _________________

A bit unfortunate that Allinson ended up standing-in on a day with so much public interaction - he's not very good at it! |

Good God-what's the matter with you guys.
Richard Allinson is one of the best DJ's on the planet and today he delivered a great show.
Get the sleep out of your eyes for Christ sakes.
Who would you prefer to hear is this slot-Evans or Allinson-it's a no brainer decision imho.
Allinson rocks. |

He's doing Ken's show next Thursday as well, according to the Radio 2 schedule.

If it's a choice of being shouted at and having tracks constantly interrupted and cut short or listening to some smug, smarmy, patronising 'presenter' with zero personality .......... hmmmmm, let me think ........ bit of a case of being stuck between a rock and a hard place. Tossing a coin would be the only option there I think. |

Now now, don't underestimate the Evans here...he can shout and interrupt tracks AS WELL AS being smug, smarmy and patronising! |

Good point, but Allinson really is the 'uber master' at being smug, smarmy AND patronising, usually all at once and for the duration of each and every one of his dire shows. |

What a depressing choice... I think I'd opt for Planet Rock.
Planet Rock errr Rocks. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Fridays Request drive home was a brilliant drive across too Southport. I then switched over at 7pm too BBC Oxford with Roger Day" who does a request networked show on BBC Stations in the South 6 days a week. Some broadcasters what I gather are a little P&&&ed off how Roger has got a 6 day week show, as some will be losing their jobs soon on commercial radio once more networked shows start. Actually Smooth Radio didn't treat Roger well. |

Second time Richard covered it for one day only, and on a Friday. |
