Laverne leads 6 summer changes
May 20: Lauren Laverne is to host a new weekly Saturday show for 6 Music, one of a number of schedule changes on the national digital station.

Former XFM breakfast presenter Laverne begins her new afternoon programme on Saturday 7th June.

Other changes to 6Music include Marc Riley presenting four days a week from Monday 2nd June between 7pm and 9pm. Gideon Coe moves to a new 9pm to midnight slot, every Monday to Thursday.

Tom Robinson moves to Friday nights between 7pm and 9pm and extends his BBC Introducing show to two nights a week on Sundays and Mondays.

Lesley Douglas, controller of 6 Music, said: "The new schedule simplifies and strengthens 6 Music's evening programming and continues to keep music firmly at its heart."

It's such a shame that Lesley Douglas hasn't axed that knob-head George Lamb.
