so Terry has decided not to host Eurovision again because of its political bias.Do you think he's done the right thinkg or would you like him to carry on doing it for a few more years? |

Is that for definite?
The latest BBC News article still says 'may quit,' which was said on here last night.

Iain,
Terry Wogan has not quit Eurovision; he has said that he 'might'.
Please stop dressing up speculation as fact - and twisting the truth. |

Terry did say he will have to take time to think whats next. I'm about 50% sure the UK will not put someone forward next time around? We will have to wait a see. It's something the BBC could save money on each year. |

Come on Gordon Brown, put your Union Jack vest on, wave two fingers to 'em all and pull us out of the "contest" and organise a Commonwealth Song Contest instead.
Would we get any votes from the Aussies? _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

If GB gets involved in this, it'll be Crewe and Nantwich gone international.
WHY do we have to devote three hours of primetime TV to something that's become a total charade?
Ian. |

Or you could expand it further and it make it a 'world song contest' - China could host. I can't see what would possibly go wrong with that. |

Totally misleading thread title
Going by the despondent mood STW appeared to be in last night I think it's unlikely he will present it again, but really it's up to him what he does, if he's had enough then why should he go on.
Then again now he's slept on it maybe he feels better about it and he'll carry on, just wait and see what Terry decides before claming he has actually quit. |
