Interesting listening to the ex r1 controller on SW show yesterday, Beeling or somebody, now I understand why r1 was full of cheesy DJs in the 80/90's full of themselves. Rolling Eyes

And there I was assuming the thread title referred to Mr Bannister on Vine's show, who was very good this afternoon! Some very interesting topics, and a good choice of music.

He was plugging his book wasn't he, Beerling that is. I caught a bit of the interview and he did sound rather cheesy, not necessarily in a bad way though.

Well I for one really liked Radio 1, right up until DLT left. Never did like Richard Allinson when he was Gary Davies though. Razz

I loved Radio One ( One FM ) when the last man left the building that was Mark Goodier and the late John Peel..
