The ninth series of Big Brother is under way after a record 16 contestants entered the Channel 4 show's house.

No, but then I'm neither desparate for the money or attention, nor am I a student, which most of them appear to be.

I will have nothing to do with this yawn-fest. Watching grass grow is infinitely more exciting. TV for Morons by Morons.

Oh please! I thought that we'd be safe on here, I don't want to read one more word about these pathetic attention seekers. Series 1 was mildly diverting, something different. Now it's just tedious.

John Noel. LD does seem to like these Big Brother presenters, doesn't she? I just cannot see the appeal, or even imagine that the average Radio 2 listener is also the average Big Brother viewer Confused

Trouble is they often end up as Radio 2 / 6 music presenters. The latest being George Lamb. The uproar about him is still in full swing on the 6 music message boards!

I'm compelled to agree with Natasha...

The whole concept of this show now resembles a complete mental vacuum

No doubt it's been contrived for the sole advantage of encourage stupid viewers to text in (at considerable profit to Endemol and C4) with their recommended response of "I do" or "I don't"!

BB viewers are such suckers. If it weren't such an indictment on today's society, and on the values that seem to be most important, it would actually be quite funny.

My sentiments exactly, Nat.... Very Happy

This sort of thing simply provides more reasons why I don't bother with the TV anymore.
