My mum dropped her camera a few weeks ago. It's a small digital camera about a year old. The flash stopped working following the accidental drop. I like tinkering with things and having recently repaired her video camera, I offered to have a look at it for her. She posted the camera, it arrived next day. Hours and hours of toil only to discover the flash bulb filament was broken. Not repairable without a replacement bulb. Can you get one of those? Not on your life.
I thought… have a peek on e-bay - maybe there's an old one of the same type for sale. There was truckloads of the things - same model ... so I scanned though them all and found one claiming to be " In unused condition as new - still in box” - with all the bits and bobs they come with. So I thought - I'll get that one –mum will be pleased, so I did. It arrived this morning. Opened it up, popped the batteries in, and took a few, well, three pictures with it. Then I noticed the picture counter was at 0019 .... Oh some other pictures. Hmmm I thought... do I look at them .... don't be silly .. of course you do..... so I did…
There are several of what looks like a London Park ( not sure which one) and some, let’s call em….. bedroom pictures … the two people weren’t naked but suffice to say they weren’t fully dressed either ….
You would check wouldn’t you?
I shall spare them further blushes by deleting them before sending the camera to my mum. |

Rachel,
Yes I would. So does your mum also like tinkering with things? |
