|
|
Myleene Klass is to become a regular presenter of Friday Night is Music Night. Now, I know she gets everywhere these days, but I think she is an excellent choice for Friday Night is Music Night. With her musical background, she is bound to add a lot of sparkle to the programme.
I am pleased that this programme, an old favourite for millions of listeners, has been spared from the axe. The presenters of the show are getting younger and quite funky. Perhaps this is a ploy to keep the show on the network and to lure younger listeners? |

She is still on Classic fm isn't she?
I'm not usually up early enough at the weekends to listen to her though. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Yesw, good news. She does have music knowledge and she has been quite good on ClassicFM. If he's finsihed, I'm going to miss Aled's jokes, NOT!

John,
I have heard no mention of Aled Jones being dropped from Friday Night is Music Night. The line up of presenters are as follows:
Aled Jones
Myleene Klass
Clare Teal
Paul Gambaccini
Russell Davies
Ken Bruce
Michael Ball, Elaine Paige, Denise Van Outen and even Dermor O'Leary will present on-off specials over the coming months. It's all looking very good.
Did you hear Myleene's first broadcast the other week? |

Ken Bruce is by far the best presenter of FNIMN, with Gambo the worst. |

Oh, why do you dislike Gambo on the show? I've never had any issues with his presentation style. |

At best, I find him creaky. The way he links from one thing to the next is often tortuous, with a lot of irrelevant facts thrown in (seemingly so he can show off the facts he knows), and even when trying jokes he seems rather humourless and smug.
At worst (such as the Josh Groban specials) I find him creepy. |

Yes, the world really needs yet another opportunity for Ms Klass to line her pockets, no doubt she will soon be reading the news and presenting Countdown _________________ MiS |

I have always enjoyed Paul Gambaccini's programmes on the radio. He was very good on Radio 3 when he presented The Morning Collection. Now, baring in mind that ratings went right up, Gambo was forced out because some of the snobby listeners complained about his accent and presentation.
I hope the same doesn't happen to him on Friday Night is Music Night! |

Aled is not being dropped from FNIMN - he is in Cardiff for 2 months doing Chitty so can hardly do FNIMN also. He is doing 2 FNIMNs in September then will be away on tour in Australia. So they clearly need other presenters too. Personally I think it is great that younger presenters are being brought in. |

Gambo isn't new to FNIMN, I've heard him present it several times before.
